What is personal color analysis?
Personal color analysis, also called seasonal color analysis, finds the colors that harmonize with the skin, hair and eye coloring you were born with. Your coloring sits on three axes: warm or cool, light or deep, bright or soft. The 12-season system names the twelve positions those axes produce, and each season comes with a palette of colors that make the face look rested and even.

What is personal color analysis?
Personal color analysis, also called seasonal color analysis, is the method of finding the colors that harmonize with your natural skin, hair and eye coloring. It places you on three axes, warm or cool, light or deep, bright or soft, and names the result as one of twelve color seasons, each with its own palette. Done in person it takes an hour or two with fabric drapes; here it is measured from one photo in about 3 minutes.
What color season am I?
One of twelve: Light, True or Bright Spring; Light, True or Soft Summer; Soft, True or Deep Autumn; Deep, True or Bright Winter. The free analysis measures your undertone, depth and clarity from a photo and scores all twelve, so you see your season, the runner-up and how far apart they are. If you want to guess first, each season page lists the skin, hair and eye traits that go with it.
Is this color analysis really free?
Yes. Your season, your full palette with hex codes, and your face set against your best and worst matches are all free, with no account and no email. The full report, $9 if you want it, adds all twelve palettes and any single color to try on your face, unlimited photos, the clothes, makeup and jewelry to buy, and a palette card and PDF to keep.
What happens to my photo?
Nothing is uploaded. The analysis runs in your browser on your own device: a face-detection model, which we host ourselves rather than loading from Google, finds your face, measures your cheeks, forehead and irises, and cuts your face out of its background. The original photo is discarded straight after. A small cut-out of your face is kept in your browser’s session storage so your result can show it, and is erased when you close the tab. There is no upload endpoint on this site.
How accurate is an online color analysis?
Honest answer: good, not perfect. We place 468 facial landmarks and sample only flat skin, both cheeks and the forehead, with hair, lips, eyes and background excluded. Depth and contrast measure reliably, because lightness survives most lighting. Undertone is the hard one: a camera’s white balance shifts exactly the signal that matters, so we correct it against a neutral reference in the photo itself, the whites of your eyes or the most neutral highlights, and more photos in different light steady it further. We always show you the runner-up and the gap, rather than pretending to a certainty we do not have.
Can I see my face against each palette?
Yes. Your face is cut out of its background and set against the palette, the same thing an analyst does with fabric under your chin. Free, you can compare your best and worst matches; the full report lets you try all twelve seasons and any single color. Removing the background is what makes it honest: against your original photo, whatever was behind you would tint every comparison.
How much does a professional color analysis cost?
In-person seasonal color analysis in the US typically runs $150–$500 for a one to two hour session with fabric drapes. That is the right choice if you want a trained eye and same-day drape testing. This site gives you the same framework and palette for free, measured from your own photo.
Do I have to answer questions to get a result?
No. Your season is read from the photo alone, in about 3 minutes. The short style profile in the flow does not change the season; it tailors the written report to how you actually dress and what you want to fix. Want a steadier reading? Add more photos in different light, not more answers.
What if two photos give me different seasons?
Then you will see it. Every photo you add votes, the result follows the majority, and a photo taken in wildly different light is flagged rather than silently averaged in. Different light is almost always the culprit; three photos in different light is the strongest reading this method can produce.
Is color analysis worth it?
It is worth it if you keep buying clothes that look wrong on you and cannot say why, if you spend on hair color or makeup, or if you want a shortcut for every shopping decision. It is not worth $150 to $500 if all you want is the name of your season. Do the free measured analysis first, then decide whether an in-person session adds anything.
What is the difference between a color season and a color palette?
The season is the diagnosis; the palette is the prescription. Your season describes where your natural coloring sits on three axes, and the palette is the set of colors that harmonize with that position. Two people in the same season share a palette even if they look nothing alike.
